How to Replace O Ring On Intake Manifold Pipe

2000 Chevrolet Impala. 3400 V6.
Question: On do we replace the o-ring on the intake the line from intake to heater.

Answer: Exactly which O-ring are you referring to? Are you talking about the O-ring on the pipe that is on top of the water pump

that goes to to the heater? Or the pipe on the lower intake manifold underneath the throttle and next to the thermostat?

    No groove on the intake manifold. The 'O ring just slides on the pipe and the pipe slides into the manifold.

    That is called the intake coolant bypass elbo. Usually it breaks, not just a leaking O ring. You will have to remove the belt tensioner bracket and dig out the old black plastic pipe.

    This also called the coolant bypass pipe o ring. A vey common area to leak antifreeze.
