Answer: What you are describing sounds like an engine misfire. One or more of the engine cylinders are not firing. That is why the truck shakes and has no power whn you accelerate. This is usually caused by an ignition problem, such as a bad spark plug, plug wire or coil.

The check engine light should be on, so a scan of the computer for trouble codes should give an indication as to where the problem is, or at least what cylinder is having a problem.

You could also have a problem with a fuel injector, low fuel pressure or something else,but start with the basics first.
