Okay I have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.5L
Now I plan on replacing the brake pads and rotors all the way around. Now, my brother-in-law says that ceramic is definitely the best choice for the type of rotors I choose but I could only seem to find the rear ones in ceramic. Now my question is, what would be the best material for the front rotors? I've seen semi-metallic, black zinc, iron alloy, and gold. Any one of these better than the others?
Now my second question is that my car has been making a popping sound when I turn the wheel to the left. I figured out that it was because the inner CV boot on the driver's side is shredded off. Any idea what could have caused that. It does have like 230k miles on it. Could that just be normal wear and tear? Or maybe I need a front end alignment? or perhaps the joint bearing is damaged in some way?

Our Granddaughter's Buick Van heats good on driver's side and rear heater but only blows cold air on the passenger side front. I assume there is a duct flap that is not working. Is it electrical or mechanical? Appreciate any help, suggestion, on repair.

I have an 09 Acadia. Six months after I bought it, the cylinder head, timing chains, guides, tensioners had to be replaced. After that, at approximately 25000 miles later, the timing chains had to be "fixed" again. Now, I've got an oil leak from the timing cover. Could that be related to the previous repairs?

2009 dodge nitro v6 cooling system has been flushed and new t-stat installed. engine at operating temp and heat control set to max heat, air temp at vent is only 80 degrees. When control knob is turned to cold the air temp will drop to 40-50 BUT when turned back to heat the air temp will slowly move back up to 80 and no higher. heater hoses at firewall are hot and the heater core tubes are also hot. could the problem be the actuator/ blending door inside of the heater box assembly?
Just purchased a 2012 2.4 l equinox im not having any problems with the vehicle but did notice on line that the 2010 equinox 2.4l had multiple complaints about oil consumption does anyone know if this was an issue (defect) that was resolved in the 2012 motor Thanks Gary

I need to replace the starter in my '92 suburban. There is a sensor in the way that plugs in the oil pan, how do I remove the plug to be able to pull the starter out?
Do I need a special tool or what???
