What make, model and year vehicle is the problem with the steering? Does it seem like more of a feel or a noise?

Infinity G35 clicking at high speed

Post by Trinityjim » Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:16 pm

My 2008 infinity started to make clicking sounds from the front end at 55 mph or so. They don't speed up or slow down with auto speed or RPM. Also don't appear when engine is raced but car not moving. Don't stop when brakes are applied. I haven't a clue. Anyone?

The problem you are describing does not sound like engine or vehicle speed related. You may just have something rattling in the wind.

If it was engine related, it would change with RPM's. If it were a wheel or brake problem, then of course it would change with your Infinity G35 speed.

I would look under the car for something loose like a splash shield.

The price sounds pretty good for the year and mileage.
As with any car, there is a lot to look at.
Does the transmission shift good. How does the fluid look.
Is there any body or suspension damage from a past accident.
Is there any rust.
How do the tires look.
Are there any fluid leaks.
There is a very good article here explaining how to buy a good used vehicle.

Yes. They are help on with either glue or double sided tape.
Either way, use a heat gun on low setting to loosen the adhesive. Be careful not to get it too hot hot and damage the paint.

I can park the car but not the wipers

Post by Dennis » Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:22 pm

2000 Windstar. The rear wiper parks fine The front wipers do not park in the correct park position and after awhile just do not operate (intermittent position on the wiper stalk). Do I replace the motor or the control module or what?
