The transmitter is a hand-held device that is powered by a 3 Volt lithium battery. The date is transmitted on an RF carrier frequency at 315 MHz. The four transmitter buttons control the following functions:

|•||Rear compartment (lower right)|
|•||Alarm (lower left)|
The operating range of the transmitter is 1-9 m (3-29 ft). A decrease in range may occur periodically. The change in range is normal for any remote lock control system. If the transmitter does not work or if you have to stand closer to the vehicle in order to operate the transmitter, perform the following procedure:
- Inspect the battery in order to determine if a replacement is needed.
- Inspect the distance in order to determine if you are too far away from the vehicle.
It may be necessary to stand closer to the vehicle under snowy or rainy conditions.
- Inspect the location in order to determine if any objects are blocking the signal.
Take a few steps to the left or right, or hold the transmitter higher in the air.
Door Locks Chattering
The door locks keep chatting when i try and lock them. The relays are also chattering.and the battery will drain 2000 Cadillac Escalade 200,345 miles help me please.
Answer: Normally chattering relays and locks means a low voltage condition. Usually caused by a bad relay, but you say the battery is also going dead. If you have a non-factory alarm / locks / remote start system, have that removed or disabled first. If that does not fix the problem, then you are going to have to trace down a wiring shirt. On This truck it could be anywhere in the miles of wires in the dash or under the carpet.
