2004 Town and Country Van Transmission Slipping

2004 Chrysler Town & Country
Question: I was driving my 2004 Town & Country van about 70 – 75 when the rpm rev’d up to 4500. The van would still move, so I slowed down to about 40 mph. the tach was still at about 4000. The ABS light started blinking and the check engine light came on. I drove about 5 miles before the check engine light came on.

Answer: Sounds like the transmission is slipping. That is why the RPM's went so high. Either it dropped out of overdrive or the trans is slipping. Check the fluid level. See if it is low or smells burned. With the check engine light and ABS light on, these computers need to have a scan for trouble codes. These lights may be on because of a transmission problem, or are causing it. Some engine emissions or antilock brake problems will cause the transmission to shift incorrectly.

Chrysler Radio Not Working

2001 Chrysler town and country limited.
Question: My radio is not going, I can not find the inside fuse box and it is not listed in the operator manual. Where is this located?
Thanks.

Answers: The fuse box is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column.

2009 Town and Country Steering Wobbles

I have a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country. Steering wheel is wobbling & or shaking from side to side, and front tires are wearing thin on the outer surfaces. What are the possible problems?

Answer: Worn out steering components or the tires being worn can give you that wobble or shaking, but you need to find out what is causing them to wear first. Most likely the inner or outer tie rods are worn causing the tire wear. The tie rods can cause the wobble or the fact that the part is causing the tires to wear can also make the tires the culprit. Either way, you will need to have the worn steering components replaced, front end aligned and tires replaced.
